I couldn't link at the time so I didn't even search for it. I saw an AMV of him set to Oingo Boingo's Little Girls. > A shitty dub of my favorite line that totally ruins it I'm not a dub snob, but Lord Almighty that one was awful. ^^Yeee, ^^sorry ^^I ^^can't ^^stand ^^stupid ^^headtilts ^^and ^^wierd ^^animations ^^. So I broke the 3 episode rule and gave it up, I really can't stand SHAFT anymore. Tried watching it, then I realized it was a SHAFT show. I always forget how much I liked that show until someone mentions it. (/s "she literally sacrificed her life for her students Q_Q") Glowing nipples are a bit weird, but his theme song is beyond amazing.

() from (), more as a cool dude who is a teacher rather than being the best educator.ġ5 episodes in. Just seeing her laziness made me lazy everytime Very inspirational and smart in dealing with his students, where his motto, (/s "becomes the MC's demeanor and the basis of the story")

If you take away (/s "the aspect how he is a prolific child serial killer"), he actually is a pretty good teacher. (/s "He waited 15 years for Satoru he deserves it to be a great teacher") Of course, the best teacher is the one that (/s "kills his students") I would have gladly saved her from her single lifestyle > ARTICLE I prefer a Christmas cake over an invincible flying octopus monster. The entire show is about him being the perfect teacher, how the hell has no one mentioned () from AssClass yet? Good thing nobody is insulting our Goddess Yui over here!^^^yay It's disgusting that people would dare to insult the Goddess. Yea, when you have yukino in your show the real contest is who's 2nd best. I have never seen a list so wrong in my life. I'd put Iroha a little higher, but saika is where he should be. You're literally the only person who gets it SNAFU Waifu levels goes Saika > Komachi > Yui > Iroha > Hiratsuka > Yukino > Haruno, so she is more like 5th best girl. We didn't see much of him but Shouyou-sensei would fit. "Silvio" Kurihara is still faculty and teaches five young men the wonders of the ass, which is probably the most important lesson they will ever learn. They make me feel disappointed, unsatisfied and annoyedĭoes the () from Prison School count? Fuck man, Jiraiya was such a good character. Under all that pervyness was a wise old man with a lot of heart. Pain allows people to grow.and how you grow is up to you."* But knowing that pain allows people to become kind. > *"When people hurt, they learn to hate.when people hurt others, they become hated and racked with guilt. I think Iruka should be up there as well IMO.Īh yes, the Almighty Creator of the feared Talk-no-Jutsu. Only reason this is not top comment and have the thread closed is because majority of /r/anime is not even born when GTO came out. Just give it a try )Įikichi Onizuka (Great Teacher Onizuka) is the only one worth remembering from the shows I've watched. It's been a while since I've seen the live action, but I remember it covering a lot of stories from the manga. The 2012 live action actually covers some stuff from shonan days )ĭoes the 2012 live action version cover more of the manga that wasn't in the original anime? The anime stopped at like, volume 14 I think, and there's 25 volumes. Which chapter does that start to appear in i stopped reading it a few month ago so i can't remember all of it. It started out as a light hearted comedy, and then all of a sudden it's touching on subjects like child rape. I haven't finished reading it need to buy the last 2 volumes i think but i didn't think it was that dark, i mean I've seen worse. I liked 14 Days in Shonan, but I felt like it was a little too dark compared to GTO. GTO needs to be remade or there needs to be an animated version of GTO: shonan 14 days it would be a must watch.

The original live-action series also had a spinoff movie. The live action covers stuff from GTO and GTO Shonan Days :3 Some people disliked the fistbumps in the 2012 version, but that's like the only considerable bad point bout the live-action show imo. There is also two live-action shows (one from the 90's, another one from this year). It's worth reading the manga (the anime's good too, heck the dub has Wendee Lee and Steve Blum, but the animation is quite dated). Great Teacher Onizuka, often abbreviated as GTO.
